Listen to よろしくお願いします
If you listen carefully to native speakers, you’ll notice something interesting: The “su” in します is not fully pronounced.
In natural, everyday Japanese, native speakers usually drop the vowel and say it more like:
“shimas” → /ʃimas/ (not “shi-ma-su”)
This phenomenon is called vowel devoicing in Japanese. It happens especially with the sounds “su” and “shi” when they come at the end of a word or between unvoiced consonants.
